Community Services

AITP Omaha has donated books, equipment and money in the following areas to help our community:

  1. Scholarships - Since 1996, AITP Omaha has provided over $50,000 in scholarships to area college students. For the past ten years we have donated more provided more than $5000 in scholarships annually.  
  2. AITP Omaha is a continuing sponsor of the Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair.  For the past three years AITP has presented a "Teacher of the Year" award as well as prizes for best IT projects. A $1000 cash award has been given to the teacher who "Best exemplifies the goals and objectives of MSEF and AITP".
  3. In the past, AITP Omaha has donated over $15,000 in books and money to the Omaha Public Library over the past years.

  1. Community service projects - AITP Omaha is always interested in assisting with information technology projects, the membership volunteer for speeches and limited consultations in our immediate region.
  2. Professional Development - AITP Omaha sponsors presentations and speeches with other local Information Technology groups.
  3. Another major contribution to information technology in the immediate region is our participation in the annual computer conference and exposition - INFOTEC.
