AITP presents: Kevin Dohrmann
Virtualization in Data Center Planning and Operations.
After a successful golf outing in July and the month of August off as
is our tradition, AITP Omaha is ready to get underway again in
September.
We have a great slate of speakers lined up for the fall.
We are fortunate to have Kevin Dohrmann from CoSentry starting us off on
September 16th with a presentation titled: The Impact of Virtualization
on Data Center Planning and Operations.
Virtualization offers many benefits including increased availability,
higher utilization of resources and improved cost effectiveness of
technology. It is critical that IT managers consider all the effects
virtualization will have on Data Center Operations and plan accordingly.
As virtualization and Server consolidation is deployed, increased power
consumption and cooling requirements must be considered as you build out
your infrastructure to support virtual environments. Kevin Dohrmann,
CoSentry Chief Technology Officer, will present these and other
important factors to consider and what the industry best practices are
and the trends that can help you to ensure your organization is prepared
to deal with the impact of virtualization on your Data Center
Operations.
